Our vision is to create a spacious and open community that embraces production, living, and culture while caring for the Earth and its inhabitans. We strive for an equal global distribution of the planet's limited resources.

The ecovillage Grobund will serve as an innovative interpretation of a traditional village community. It will be a place where individuals can lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

We aim to advance a culture that encourages social interaction while respecting the need for peace and privacy.

Our homes will be designed using natural materials that are environmentally friendly, yet still reflecting the diversity of the people who reside in them.
We recognize that by minimizing our constructions, we have the least impact on the climate. Therefore, we intend to avoid building unnecessarily large structures.

Craftsmanship and durable solutions are highly valued in our community. We prioritize cost-effective construction, enabling individuals to achieve a debt-free lifestyle.

Our village will be self-sufficient in terms of electricity, heating, gas, and water, operating independently from external supplies. Additionally, we are committed to minimizing waste production.

These measures are vital for realizing our vision, managing resource consumption and emissions effectively, promoting sustainable energy sources, and practicing nutrient recycling.

Wherever possible, we will strive for self-sufficiency. Our village will be integrated into a permaculture landscape, where businesses, homes, daily life, and self-sufficiency in food, water, and energy form mutually beneficial connections for nature and residents' well-being. The spaces between homes will contribute to our cultural landscape, incorporating edible plantings, small animal husbandry, and native insect-friendly plants to enhance biodiversity.

We aspire to become an exemplary mini-community that actively restores the Earth's resources, including water, air, and soil. Our efforts will involve carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, and embracing a lifestyle centered around reusing, recycling materials, and sharing arrangements to reduce resource consumption in private and production contexts.

Grobund will be a showcase for green transition experiments and a vibrant living demonstration of sustainable living practices with reduced resource consumption. It will be a dynamic hub where people, ideas, and knowledge flow in and out, fostering business, entrepreneurship, and cultural activities.

Once you have the user certificate, you'll have the opportunity to acquire a Land Certificate. The price of Land Certificates is not finalized yet, as we're still in the process of purchasing additional land, but we estimate it to be around 50,000 DKK. However, you can already acquire a Land Certificate B for 25,000 DKK.

Here's how:

You can apply by sending an email to indskyder@grobund.org.

Write a brief explanation of why you want to be part of Grobund. The application group will then contact you to schedule a meeting where you'll receive detailed information about Grobund. After the meeting, you can decide if you want to join our project.
